Frances Augustine Newton's Obituary
Frances Augustine Newton Of Hayward Passed away of causes incident to age at 101 years old. She was the daughter of Guiseppe Bellante and Emily Caroline Murat. Frances was admired for her independence, her enthusiastic spirit her devotion to friends and family, all of whom miss her. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Hayward First Ward, a Children’s Primary teacher of many years and a volunteer worker at Walpert Center school for the handicapped. She is survived by her husband, Edmund Arthur Newton, and her children, Karl “Sonny” Turne of Kensington, Carol Russell of Fremont, Joyce Lucas of San Diego and Allen Newton of Hayward and by her grandchildren Mark, Michael, Matthew and Marla Turne; Terry, Chris and Shelley Russell; Margaret Davis and Deborah LePage; and Edmund Newton. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grand-children. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2000 Highland Blvd., Hayward, California at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 13th. Interment will be at the Chapel of the Chimes cemetery in Hayward.
