Floyd Junior Larabee's Obituary
Floyd J. Larabee, 61 passed away at his home in Modesto, California on Saturday, March 23, 2002. Floyd was born to Robert Henry and to Nancy Darcus Larabee in Centrahoma, Oklahoma on July 31, 1940. Floyd has been a resident of Modesto, California for 2 years and prior a resident of Fremont, California for 19 years. Floyd retired as a Communications Technician after 40 years with AT&T Co. He was a former President of Communications Workers of America.Floyd was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Linda Larabee-Adams. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Ida May Lane and a brother, Virnie Larabee. Floyd is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Barbara D. Larabee of Modesto, California. Floyd was a very devoted father to his two daughters, LeAnn M. LaRue and Caron Larabee both of Modesto, California. Floyd was a dear brother to two sisters and two brothers, Fay Yearry of Redding, California, Lois Arnold of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Melvin Larabee of Round Mountain, California and Troy Larabee of Reno, Nevada. He leaves behind his precious four grandchildren, Megan Marie LaRue, Lacey Janae LaRue, David Adams and Tom Adams.Family and Friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Thursday, March 28, 2002 from 5:30 p.m. æ 8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home.
