Florencio C. Benitez's Obituary
Jan. 27, 1912 – August 15, 2008 Resident of Union City, CA Florencio Celestino Benitez, a husband, father, grandfather, friend and a WWII veteran died on Friday, Aug. 15 at the age of 96. He is survived by his sons, Conrad, Gilberto, Benjamin, Jaime, Lorenzo and daughter, Gilda. Also survived by 17 grandchildren. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Honorata Guintu Lingat Benitez who passed 9 months ago. Florencio was a loving, strong, charismatic, funny man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held Tues. Aug. 19 and Wed. Aug. 20 from 4:30 to 8:30pm at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward. Funeral Service will be held on Thurs. at 10am at St. Anne’s Church, Union City.
