Fildres F. Runez's Obituary
Captain Fildres Floirendo Runez, M.S.N Aug. 22, 1925 – Oct. 10, 2011 Resident of Fremont 30-yr resident of Fremont, CA and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Received B.S.N. from St. Louis University as a Fulbright Scholar (1950) and M.S. in Nursing Education from DePaul University, Chicago (1954). Crowned Miss Philippines /USA 1951. Served as captain for the U.S. Army (1958 to 1963) in Germany and The Presidio. Career of 60 years as an RN/DON and owner of numerous businesses in the health care industry throughout the Greater Bay Area. She enjoyed singing with her professionally trained soprano tessitura voice; racing her European cars and traveling the world like her personal playground; swimming, skiing, dancing as hobbies to keep fit, collecting dolls and figurines, and beading her own designs with jewelry. She is survived by 6 loving sisters: Rosemarie Tabora, Melicend Hannen, Beverly Camacho, Claribel Salinda, Marline Runez, Sheridan Kirk, 1 brother: Ronald Runez & 33 grateful nephew/ nieces and their children.
