Fely Cristobal's Obituary
Fely Bandiola Cristobal was born in Romblon, Philippines, February 6, 1947 as Fely Fernando Bandiola. She was the 2nd of 10 children of Olvida and Jesus Bandiola Sr. The family moved to Manila after she was born.She graduated from Adamson University, Manila in 1968 with a BS in Chemical Engineering. Her father encouraged her to apply for immigration to the United States after graduating college. Shortly after the application, she met Zacarias Cristobal in 1969. They were engaged before she immigrated to the U.S., when she was 22. Zacarias came over shortly after and they got married in Brooklyn, NY in 1972.She gave birth to three children, Michael in 1973, Gayle in 1974, and Angelo in 1982.They moved to California in 1978.Fely enjoyed doing everything with her husband, including travelling, dancing, cruising and praying. Parts of their travels led them to the Holy Land several times.Her love for God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit continued to grow over the years. Her devotion compelled her to start a weekly Divine Mercy Prayer group 1994-2001. Since 2002, she coordinated multiple food donation charity missions in the Philippines, Malawi(Africa) and Mexico, feeding thousands of hungry children and their families. Many have consulted with her for prayers, spiritual advice and direction.She is survived by her spouse, Zacarias Cristobal; her children, Michael Cristobal, Gayle Magdziak, and Angelo Cristobal; her son-in-law and her grandchildren, Richard, Mufasa, Kenji, Alejo, Gavril and Serafina Magdziak; her father, Jesus Bandiola Sr.; her siblings, Jesulviba Tumbagahon, Gilda Ungemach, Virgie Azaña, Jesus Bandiola Jr, Elizabeth Manalastas, Cheryl Wirth, Rey Bandiola, and America Bandiola; her many nephews and nieces.
