Fedilidad Cruz Salvador's Obituary
Fedilidad Cruz Salvador May 11, 1933 – January 5, 2017. Resident of Fremont, California. Fedilidad passed away peacefully on her way home to the Philippines. Fedilidad was born and raised in Dinalupihan, Bataan and graduated from Northern Bataan Institute. She was crowned Miss San Jose Dinalupihan on March 18, 1951.She was the eldest of six children born to the late Eulalio and Isabel Cruz. She was the beloved wife to Ernesto P. Salvador for 61 years. Fedilidad will be forever remembered by her devoted brothers Federico R. Cruz and Jose R. Cruz, loving sisters Nieves C. Mallari, Leonora C. Gratil and the late Irene C. Ibarreta, beloved children Ernesto C. Salvador Jr. and his wife Beth, sons Marques and wife Berlinette, Jared, great grandchildren Camille, Caitlyn and Caiden, daughter Beth S. Nunez and husband Armen, grandchildren Deo S. Nunez, Nate E. Nunez, Ariel S. Nunez, daughter Melina S. Ortiz and husband Eddie, grandchildren, Jacob M. Ortiz, Elijah C. Ortiz and Jaden C. Ortiz; along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Fedilidad loved her grand and great grandchildren, and would drop everything to cook their favorite meals, the way only “Mama” knew how to make. She enjoyed going to the casinos and always looked forward to returning to the Philippines for their annual vacation.Fedilidad worked and retired from National SemiConductor after 20 years. She spent most of her retired life travelling and camping with the kids and grandchildren. She loved her Word Searches and often challenged her grandkids to see who could find the words quicker. Her favorite television program was watching Judge Judy and seldom missed a day of watching the show.Fedilidad was a devout Catholic and attended mass regularly until walking longer distances challenged her. She and Ernesto received two Papal Blessings for celebration of their 25th and 50th Wedding Anniversaries.Fedilidad touched the lives of many people with her smile, kindness and generosity.Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Services. The Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 5 – 9pm, rosary is at 7pm at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary at 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA. Funeral Services will begin at St. Anne Catholic Church on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Burial Service will follow at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary.
