Her life was full of love, kindness, caring, giving, and service extended not only to us her family but to her friends as well. We are all so blessed to have known and shared all that she had to offer during her lifetime. She was a loving and dutiful daughter to our parents, taking it upon herself to provide for their needs while they (our parents) were still both alive. Nothing pleased her more than to see our dear parents taken care of and well provided for. As a sister, she was always there for us in every turn, in good times and in bad, always ready to give words of encouragement and shared with whatever she had to help out the best way she could. She was also a doting aunt to her nieces and nephews, so generous of her time when needed, at the same never forgetting to give kind words of advice and encouragement, even reprimand them as she saw fit as her own way of molding them to be better persons. As a single mother to her son Bernard Kristofferson, she met all the challenges with much faith and optimism that with the help of the Almighty God she would be able to provide him with a life and a future that she dreamt for him. And to this day, I’m sure she couldn’t have been any prouder of how her beloved son turned out to be. A smart, intelligent, dependable, independent, loving, and God-fearing young man.She cared for her family so deeply, and that went beyond the material things that she was able to give and share. Her ultimate wish in life was to be able to let her love ones accept and have a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In her own words, “I don’t want to be in the presence of The Lord alone. When the time comes, I want you all my beloved family to be there and experience the fullness of his glory”. Her life mirrored this deep devotion and love to our Creator, and I’m sure the seeds that she had already planted will come into fruition in God’s time.We saw her strength slowly slipped away from her day to day, and yet this did not crush her spirit. On the contrary, this gave her more reason to be more compassionate to those who are going through the same difficult time. She loved to post positive and encouraging thoughts on her Facebook page where she knew that a friend or an acquaintance might be able to see it and benefit from it and would make life a little better for them. Amidst the pain and the suffering, never did once she questioned God of why this happened to her, but she was in complete resignation to His will, and had embraced it fully, and even took it as great privilege and an offering to partake of what the Lord Jesus Christ has gone through on the cross. We will bid you farewell now our beloved Evitha, for the work that God has set out for you on earth is done. Our hearts are broken to let you go but there is much comfort in knowing that the heavens is opening up for you right now with the Master welcoming you in His loving arms to give you rest, and where there is no more pain and suffering, only the joy in the eternal presence of our Almighty God. Take our undying love and profound gratitude to you dearest one, for all you have done for us…we love you very much. So long, and Godspeed.
