Evelyn Ejercito Antonio, age 67, passed away peacefully on August 20 at her home in Hayward, California. Her last moments were enjoyed in the presence of her loving husband before she gracefully transitioned into eternal rest.
Born on June 3, 1956, From her earliest days, family played a significant role in shaping her compassionate nature.
Evelyn was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Gerry.
While not the biological father to her children -- Joanne, Karen and Arnold -- Gerry's unwavering presence in her life exemplified their extraordinary companionship and love that endured throughout their marriage and until her final moments.
However, Evelyn's true joy emanated from her role as a doting grandmother. Her grandchildren -- Julianne, Jeanelle, Jessica and Eugena -- held a special place in her heart and were the center of her world. Her dedication to them knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with them, leaving behind a legacy of boundless love and cherished memories.
Evelyn's passion extended to her work, where she dedicated over two decades as an accountant at the EPA in San Francisco. Her commitment to her profession was a reflection of her strong work ethic and dedication to her responsibilities.
Her compassion was boundless; she wanted to ensure she was a pillar of support for her children and grandchildren, especially in their times of need, even if it meant shouldering financial burdens.
Visitation is scheduled for August 29, 2023 starting at 4pm, until 9pm, at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.
Mass Service will be held on August 30, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Union City. We extend an invitation to friends and family to join us in commemorating her life.
Evelyn's spirit, a tapestry of love, strength, and unwavering dedication, shall forever reside in our hearts. Her legacy of compassion will continue to resonate, an ever-present source of inspiration.
