Eugene Charles Miller1/11/28 ' 12/1/06 Eugene entered into peaceful and eternal rest, surrounded by members of his loving family on 12/1/06 in Merced, CA. where he was a resident of 17 years. He was born 1/11/28 in Fullerton, Nebraska, and was a resident of Omaha until 1962, when he moved his family of 10 to California. He served in the US Merchant Marines from 1942-1944, when he joined the US Navy and served until 1950. He retired from BART as a Supervisor in 1989. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lillian Miller of Merced, his sons: Eugene Miller, Jr. of Antioch, CA, Robert Miller of Fremont, CA, David Miller of Merced, CA , his daughters: Gloria Miller of Oroville, CA, Deborah Pena of Fremont, CA, Darlene Binderup of Fremont, CA, Kimberly Gordon of Oroville, CA, 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, his sisters, Elaine Mascarello, Delores Mascarello, and Lorraine Vashon, all of Omaha, Nebraska and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, John Douglas.Visitation will be held on Mon. December 4, 2006 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward and funeral services Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 10:00am, at Chapel of the Chimes.
