Eugene J. Martinez's Obituary
EUGENE J. MARTINEZ Passed away on February 8, 2008. Dearly beloved husband of 33 years to the late Eunice Martinez (1983). Eugene is survived by his his daughter Nancy Martinez and son Larry Craigg. Sisters Cecelia Harbin and Doris Paredes, and brother Harold Martinez. Many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren also survive him. He was pre deceased by his daughter Beverly Mahley (2005). A Washington High School graduate class of 1942, who rose to fame as their star football players as the Full Back. He enlisted in the Navy and served in WWII. He enjoyed life and love to party with his family and friends. He was known best for his love of working as a Square Dance Caller. Eugene was the very first Adjutant of the Paul Edwards Rivers Post of Alvarado. Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, February 14, 2008 from 4:30PM – 8:30PM with a vigil being held at 7:00PM. A Celebration of his life will be on Friday, February 15, 2008 beginning at 10:30AM all being held in the Reflection Chapel at CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA.
