Etta “Maurine” Belcher 1/3/1930 – 3/11/2015 In Loving memory of our Mother, Maurine Belcher passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11th in Granbury, Texas at the age of 85. She was born January 3, 1930 in Derby, Kansas to Forrest and Dorothy Pittman. Maurine was the middle of 3 children. She had been married 51 years to Loren L. Belcher until his death in 1999. Maurine will rest next to Loren at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. They were longtime residents of Castro Valley Bay Area. Maurine enjoyed working as a Real Estate Broker in Castro Valley for many years. She was proud to be an active member of the Alameda County Board of Realtors and the Hill and Valley Club of Hayward. Maurine is survived by her children: Carol (Mike deceased 1990) Mahar, Loren (Elaine) Belcher and Connie (Brian) Donnachie. Grandchildren: Paul, Melissa, Colleen, L.J., Matt, Stephen, Monica, and Mark. Great-Grandchildren: Connor, Jaxson, Andrew, Madeleine, Elizabeth, and Charlotte. She is also survived by her sister Melba Riley. A service will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, CA 94544 on April 11, 2015 at 4:00pm. Contributions can be made to the Hill & Valley Scholarship Fund in Hayward, CA or the Alzheimer’s Association.
