Ethel Emily Di Bari's Obituary
Ethel Emily Di Bari passed away peacefully at the age of 73 at her home in Fremont, California. Born Ethel Emily Strom in Paterson, NJ, she met her husband, Charles Carlo Di Bari, in the summer of 1959. They married in a sword ceremony at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD on June 8, 1963. They started their family in December 1964 with the birth of their first son, Charles, followed by Joseph in January 1966, and daughter, Nicole, in February 1973. She and Charles lived in various parts of the country prior to settling in the Bay Area 48 years ago, where they raised their family. She worked many years as a daycare provider out of her home and cherished the children she cared for. She loved cooking for her family, catching the latest movie, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren. Spending time with her family was truly the only happiness Ethel needed in life. She was the most loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend anyone could ever ask for. Although we all will have a void in our lives, we know that Ethel will continue to fill our hearts with happiness being reunited with her mother, father, sister, brother and nephews.Ethel is predeceased by loving parents Edwin and Anna (Westura) Strom, brother Edwin Strom and sister Audrey (Strom) Teza. Ethel is survived by her beloved husband Charles, son Charles Di Bari and his wife Tammy, son Joseph Di Bari and his wife Rachele, daughter Nicole (Di Bari) Roxby and her husband Jason, sister Claudia (Strom) Mosca and grandchildren Chase, Julia, Jordan and Noah.Family and friends are invited to her Celebration of Life Services to be held at 5:00pm PST on Saturday, May 6th 2017 at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, California, 94544, phone (510) 471-3363.
