Ernest T. Lucero a San Leandro, California resident entered into rest Friday, April 11, 2003 in San Leandro, California. Born in New Mexico on March 3, 1946, he was 57 years of age. Ernesto was a true Raider fan he loved football. He was a very loving and giving person and gave of himself to anyone in need and did it with joy. He worked in the metal industries and was self-employed. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his companion and long time friend Virginia Nichols. Loving father of Sonja Ferry of San Leandro, Lori Plimmer of Dublin and Ernie Lucero of San Leandro. Dear brother of Betty Gallegos of Oakland, Lillian West of Oakland, Howard Lucero of San Leandro, Richard Lucero of Oregon, Arthur Lucero of San Leandro and John Lucero of Castro Valley. Devoted grandfather of five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2003 from 5:00-8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a Funeral service Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. in the Mission Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home."Service of Marked Distinction"
