Erlinda Reyes Carino's Obituary
Her purpose here is done and even in her final days, she mended relationships andreunited our family.Erlinda “Eying” Reyes Cariño passed on March 16, 2018 with her family by her side in her home in San Leandro. She was 71.Eying was born on September 11, 1946 in Manila, Philippines. She married Romulo Cariño in 1967. The Cariño’s migrated to New York before moving to California. Eying worked for Western Electric and Clorox Company, where she retired as an Accounting Clerk.Eying has always considered the Philippines her home, so she moved back to retire with Romulo. It was there that she was preceded in death by her husband in 1999. Eying came back to California 6 years ago to spend the remaining years of her life with her family.Eying was a kind, patient and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her passion was serving and caring for her family and helping those that were less fortunate. She touched many lives.Eying is survived by her children Arleen, Rommel and Ron; in-laws, Edwin and Ellen; her grandchildren, Melayna, Alyssa, CJ, Kavi, AJ, Christopher, Isaiah, and Karuna; sisters Angelita Reyes and Teresita Layco; brother Leonardo Reyes; sister-in-laws Lita, Eva and Jane; her cousins; and her nephews and nieces.Eying’s family will take her remains to the Philippines, where she will join herparents, Sisenando and Purificacion; brothers, Nicanor and Sisenando Jr.; andsister, Nora in their family mausoleum.Eying’s memorial services will be on Thursday March 22, 2018 10am-12:30pm at the Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward.Funeral Mass will be at St Felicitas Catholic Church, San Leandro at 1:30pm and reception to follow.
