Epifania Yumang's Obituary
Epifania Tolentino Yumang July 12, 1925 – Jan. 15, 2010 Resident of Castro Valley Beloved wife of Abelardo Yumang & devoted mother to Zenaida Yabut, Lilian Manalastas, Evelyn Manansala, Elisa Barros, Antonio Yumang, Grace Shocron, and Liberty Glavin. Epifania was also the treasured grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Epifania was born in San Vicente – Macabebe, Pampanga, Philippines. She attended the De Luxe Fashion School in Manila where she earned her certification in dressmaking. In 1970, she migrated to the San Francisco Bay Area where she worked as a seamstress for 22 years. Throughout her life, as well as after retirement in 1992, Epifania enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, attending church & religious pilgrimages, and watching sports on television. Epifania touched many lives with her loving and welcoming spirit. Her family invites friends and family to her memorial services held at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA on Wednesday, January 20, and Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 5:00 – 8:30 PM. The funeral services will be held Friday, January 22, beginning with a mass at St. Clement’s Church in Hayward at 10:00 AM followed by a procession to Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo where she will be laid to rest.
