It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Emmanuel F. Maliksi on January 30, 2025 at the age of 67. Emmanuel was born on April 7, 1957, in Mary Johnston Hospital, Manila, Philippines. He was born to parents (now both deceased) – Meneses J. Maliksi (father) and Elizabeth F. Maliksi (mother) and was the eldest of 5 siblings namely: Ferdy, Marvin (deceased), Sonny Jr., and Judith.
Manny was educated at Union Elementary School and Union High School of Manila before working as a Seaman for a number of years and eventually migrating to the United States with his last job working for Amazon before finally retiring. Throughout his professional life, he had carried out a very strong work ethic and had worked very hard to support his family. He met the love of his life and beloved wife Buenaflor of 51 years. He was known for his strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support for his family. He was also a devoted and loving father to his children Annagayle, Bem, and Sidney and an even awesome grandfather to Sebastian, Jaden, Kyle and Bailey. A very kind, loving and accepting father-in-law to, Linette, and Eina. They all dearly miss him and the life lessons he imparted to them.
He's proud of his children and their achievements and was very much involved in his grandchildren’s activities leaving behind very fond memories. He loves spending time fishing, and rooting for his favorite teams: LA Lakers, GS Warriors and SF Forty-Niners. A very humble, kind and generous human being. He is known and always will be remembered for his warmth, wit and of course his humorous personality that will make you cry laughing whenever you’re with him. No matter what dark clouds you may be under – rest assured that you’ll be covered with a bright ray of hope and sunshine and smiling from ear to ear when you leave his presence.
