Emma Mae Trent's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Our Cherished Emma
March 25th, 1941 - December 19th, 2024
Our hearts are heavy as we share the passing of our beloved sister and aunt, Emma Mae Trent. Emma left us on December 19th, 2024, in Hayward, California, but her spirit and love remain with us forever.
Emma was more than a sister; she was our confidant, our rock, and our source of endless support. For over 40 years, she dedicated her life to teaching, touching countless young lives at the Oakland Unified School District. Her passion for education was matched only by her kindness and generosity.
She shared a special bond with her sisters, Joyce Brenda Moore and Martha Myricas. Emma and Joyce were especially close, their sisterhood filled with laughter, secrets, and unconditional love. To her nephew, Micah Karriem, she was not just an aunt but a guiding light, ever empathetic and supportive.
Emma's heart was boundless. Her kindness, support, empathy, generosity, and impeccable organization were felt by all who knew her. She had a way of making everyone feel special, always ready with a warm smile and a listening ear.
Born in California on March 25th, 1941, Emma lived a life full of love and purpose. Though words cannot capture the depth of our loss, we find comfort in the memories we shared and the legacy she leaves behind.
We will miss her dearly, but we carry her spirit in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, dear Emma.
