Emma TorresEmma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and sister, who loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 52 year, Efren Sr, her three children, Efren Jr, Anna and Mark; her five grandchildren, Marisela, Manuel, Kyle, Antonio (Pancho), and Myah; her only great grandson Antonio; two sisters Minerva and Josephine as well as 6 nieces and nephews and their children. Emma is predeceased by her infant son David.Emma passed away on July 18, 2006 at age 82. She was born on May 14, 1924 inEl Paso, Texas . While attending theUniversity ofGuanajuato in Mexico Emma met her husband Efren in Juarez, , they were married six months later on August 1, 1952 inStockton, California . She worked as a bookkeeper at Quaker State Oil for 27 years. Emma was very kind and loving, and was always trying to help others. She had a generous heart and never turned away anyone who needed her resulting in several 'adopted children,' Dennis, Donald Daily, Shelly and a few others. Family and friends will gather in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of theChimesMemorial Park and Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, for a visitation on Thursday, July 20 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm and a Funeral Service on Friday July 21 at 9:30 am. There will be a Graveside service on Monday July 24 at 10:00 am.
