Emiliano Trinidad Jose Jr.'s Obituary
Fremont, CA - Emiliano T. Jose Jr. (Joe/Chitong), 88, passed away peacefully at his home on January 21, 2021, with his loving family and caregiver by his side.
Emiliano was born December 23, 1932, in Cavite City, Philippines, the son of Emiliano M. Jose Sr. and Honorata T. Jose. He was the sixth child of eight children; Reynaldo(Rey), Benigno(Momoy), Carmen(Nenita), Eloisa(Bichita), Fermina(Min), Soledad(Chola), and Wilfredo(Boy). Emiliano was the last of all his brothers and sisters to go home to heaven. He grew up in San Roque, Cavite City, Philippines. Emiliano enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in March 1955 and served honorably until he retired in September 1977 (22yrs), with the rank of Aviation Structural Mechanic Chief Petty Officer (E-7). Emiliano went on to pursue a second career as a naval civil contractor, again as an aviation structural mechanic, which he finally retired from in 1995 due to heart health issues. He married Florida P. Silva on April 24, 1960, at Ellinwood-Malate Church Manila, Philippines. Emiliano was naturalized as an American citizen on May 4, 1965. Emiliano loved all sports and enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball, bowling, badminton, and ping pong. While serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, he won several trophies for bowling and badminton. Emiliano was extremely mechanically inclined, a “jack of all trades”; auto mechanic, construction, and plumbing. Emiliano’s love language was
“Acts of Service''. He was always there for family and friends, and loved all unselfishly. Emiliano especially loved unconditionally his wife and soul mate, Florida, who sadly went home to heaven before he did. He was a devout Christian, always giving generously of his time and blessings to his church, United Filipino-American Church of Christ. The family, along with many many friends, has lost an amazing human being. Those who will miss Emiliano most include his son- Emmanuel (Noel) Jose and his wife Rhonda and children Michaela and Connor, son- Florante (Joey) Jose and his wife Susan and children Kellen, Jared, and Caitlin, daughter- Emily Tatad, and her husband Chris and child Caleb, brother-in-law- Dante Silva, and caregivers- Gerardo Del Rosario (Bong) and Ronell Espana.
There are also a multitude of close friends (compadres and comadres), and other family members including but not limited to in-laws, godsons, goddaughters, cousins, and many nephews and nieces who will also miss him.
Emiliano is now at peace and reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Florida, his parents, his siblings, and past family and friends.
