away peacefully at age 85 on January 13, 2023.
Emiliana was born on February 15, 1937, in Paniqui, Tarlac, Philippines.
She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Commerce in Manila, and
upon graduation, worked as a Bookkeeper at the Philippine Bible House in
Manila.
On January 28, 1967, Emiliana married Jesus Velasco Dimaya, who was
from the same province. As young newlyweds, Emiliana wrote letters to
Jesus when he was deployed overseas with the U.S. Navy. Upon receiving
transfer orders to Oahu, Hawaii, Emiliana joined Jesus and eventually gave
birth to their 2 children - Jemil and Rachelle. In 1979, Jesus received his
final transfer order to Moffett Field, near Sunnyvale, California where they
raised their children and helped many family members immigrate from the
Philippines.
In California, Emiliana worked for Signetics, Philips, and Boston Scientific
as an Inspector for computer components. She retired after 31 years in the
workforce so that she could spend more time with family and friends.

dancing, spending time outdoors, and attending family events. She was a
devout Christian and a figurehead in her community church. Her

loved watching her children and grandchildren achieve their milestones.

four grandchildren: Jessica, Jaden, Jared, and Theron.
