July 17, 1921 – May 24, 2008 Resident of Castro Valley Emiko L. Miyamura of Castro Valley passed away on May 24, 2008. Dearly loved wife of 62 years to Masato Miyamura. Devoted mother of Masaye Irish and her husband Paul, Janis Wong and her husband Calvin, and Kurt Miyamura and his wife Kimi. Loving sister of Kinuko Hayashi, Setsuko Endo,and Saburo Yoshida. Cherished grandmother of Cory Irish, Elisa Wong, Ashlee Irish, and Christopher Wong. Age 86. Emiko was born and raised in Oakland. She owned and operated Miyamura Florist in San Leandro for 53 years. After her retirement, her passion in life was to entertain her family and friends, playing cards, and traveling with her husband. Her family says she will be remembered fondly of her loving, caring and giving heart which also extended to everyone she knew her generosity. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Her Life on Saturday, May 31, 2008, beginning at 3:00 pm at the Oakland Buddist Church, 825 Jackson St., Oakland, CA.
