Emanuel (Manny) Shauf Garay Obituary
Emanuel Shauf Garay was born December 28, 1962 in Oakland California a Bay Area Native to the parents of Evelyn Shauf and Feliciano Con Garay. He was the third oldest of six children.
He married Ana Melendez-Garay and their union lead to the births of their two handsome son’s Manny L. Garay and Isaac G. Garay. They will always and forever be his pride and joy. Emanuel had many great passions family, singing, old school music, low rider cars, food, his zoot suits that matched from his Stacy Adam shoes to his matching fedora brims. He was an intellectual speaker, he was known to always have a great story to tell. Emanuel had a lot of struggles in his past that he proudly conquered and over came to become the amazing man, son, father, husband, brother, uncle, friend and mentor to all. Emanuel was a certified plumber for thirty plus years which he took pride in. He was a counselor for troubled young men to guide them on a better path of life. He was also a Ordained Minister which he performed funerals, baptisms and weddings. He performed two of his sister’s, one of his great niece and many friends weddings along with a family group baptism of his niece’s, nephew’s and great niece’s and nephew’s. With his free time he had he would spend it with his family making sure his sons knew they were everything to him. Emanuel was always there for everyone in any situation such as plumbing issues, advice or even just a prayer. He was the one you can always count on. He will be remembered as a genuine soul with a warm open heart that didn’t have a judgemental bone in his body.
He departed this life on January 27, 2021 and was preceded in death by his younger brother Jonathan Shauf Garay. He leaves to celebrate his legacy his mother Evelyn Shauf, father Feliciano Con Garay, wife Ana Melendez-Garay, two wonderful son’s Manny and Isaac Garay, Sisters: Miriam De La Cruz, Lilly Ann Martin-Landavazo and Rhoda Garay-Boehm, Brothers: Arnel Shauf Garay, Francis Garay and Adam Garay, Brother in-laws: Phil De La Cruz, James Boehm and Matthew Landavazo. A host of niece’s, nephew’s, great and great-great niece’s and nephew’s and friends that became family to him.
