Mrs Elvera Marie Anderson's Obituary
Elvera M. Anderson passed away at her home in San Lorenzo on November 9, 2016. She is survived by her brother Richard Duus, sister Virginia Norland, her three children, Barry Anderson, Sheryl O’Donnell, Vicki Haghighi, her 6 grandchildren Michelle Anderson, Bonnie Tuggle, Benjamin O’Donnell, Kaitlyn O’Donnell, Kayvon Haghighi, Sara Haghighi, and her 3 great grandchildren Azam Haghighi, Ada Haghighi, and Leah Tuggle. Elvera Marie Anderson was born in Graettinger, Iowa on October 30, 1923 to Andrew and Marie Duus. There she grew up on a farm and was educated in the local schools. Elvera had many happy memories from her life on the farm. Elvera married George Emmett Anderson on November 23, 1950. She supported George while he attended Chiropractic College in Davenport Iowa. Upon George’s graduation, they headed west and settled in California to begin a practice. Elvera managed the chiropractic office and began raising a family. She was a true professional and a dedicated wife. She was the best mom anyone could ever ask for. George and Elvera moved to the Santa Cruz Mountains in 1990. In her retirement, Elvera enjoyed researching her family history and created a detailed record with photos. She also loved to crochet and bake. Elvera was always ready to be with her family. She was a gentle loving soul who would go out of her way for anyone. Elvera touched the hearts of many and will never be forgotten. She will truly be missed.
