ELSIE MAE RAMIREZ JULY 22, 1935 – APRIL 6, 2014 RESIDENT OF SAN LEANDRO Surrounded by her family, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully on April 6, 2014. She touched many lives with her loving ways and will truly be missed. Born in Ward Arkansas Elsie was preceded in death by her parents Hiram (Goldie) and Louise Brewer, her brothers, Darold, Jerry, and Keith Brewer. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Mitchell Ramirez, her children, Barbara Hodson and Janice James and her sister Sue Mederios. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Michael Frey, Lisa Mulrooney, Rachel Aviles and Barbara Ramirez and 5 great grandchildren Joshua and Tristen Mulrooney, Jonathan Frey, Luis Aviles, and Jacklyn Sullivan. Elsie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished being a homemaker. She loved to bake and garden and most of all spending time with her family laughing and playing with her grandchildren. She was always there when you needed her. Always helping and not asking for anything in return. A celebration of life will be held at Chapel of the Chimes at 32992 Mission Blvd in Hayward. Services commence at 12:30.
