Elmer Posas Schubert's Obituary
October 9, 1961 – August 4, 2008 “Live life with faithnot fear!” On August 4, 2008, Elmer Shubert departed our world to rest with God. Elmer, resident of Hayward, passed away, in Kaiser-Hayward, surrounded by family and friends, after a long, hard fought battle with lung cancer. He was born in Fallon, Nevada and lived in many different parts of the United States and Philippines. He graduated from St. James High School in the Philippines in 1977. After he graduated, he spent four years of his life in the Air Force. After that, he spent time as an Entrepreneur, Car Salesman, and as an Account Executive w/ AT&T, a true “Jack of All Traits.” Despite his battle with cancer, Elmer continued to live life to the fullest. A few of his most enjoyed hobbies were basketball, poker, paintballing, snowboarding, magic tricks, and one of his favorite playing his XBOX. Elmer is survived by his wife Hazel Schubert, his Parents Edward and Lourdes Schubert, his step daughters Christina and Alyssa Valdez,, his sisters, Emma Hughie, Edwardine Morone, and Edwina Schubert. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday August 11, 2008 from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA 94544. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edward Church, 5788 Thornton Ave. Newark, CA, 94544. Flowers can be sent to Chapel of the Chimes and donations can be sent to 313 Sea Mist Court #A, Hayward, CA, 94544.
