Elmer Oscar Roberts' Obituary
Elmer Oscar Roberts, nickname “Beau” passed away quietly at home with family by his side on Saturday, February 21, 2015 due to complications from pancreatic cancer.Born in October 1921 to parents Charlie and Georgie Roberts. He married his soulmate, Leota Osborn on January 7, 1955. He worked for Baxter Creosoting Plant, in Alameda, CA as a welder until his retirement in 1985. They lived in San Lorenzo, CA until 2003, when they sold the family home and moved to Modesto, CA to be closer to family.Beau is survived by his wife of sixty years-Leota Roberts of Modesto, and daughter Patsy Cunningham of Turlock, CA. He is preceded in death by daughters Barbara Olivera, Leslie Souza, and Peggy Yant; sons Gary Roberts and Ronnie Roberts; grandson Troy Tachiera , granddaughter Gayle Roberts, and brother Dale Roberts.The family would like to thank Community Hospice for the excellent care Beau received while under their care during his final days.Funeral services and interment will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
