Ellen Lowe's Obituary
Ellen Lowe (née Quan), a long-time resident of Newark, California, passed away on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025.
Born in 1927 in Guangzhou, China, Ellen received her high school diploma from Lingnan High School in Macau and a technical certificate from The Singer Sewing and Tailoring School in Macau. She married Paul Lowe in Hong Kong in 1951, and they had four children: Diana (Walter), Dan (Sue), Tom (Carleen), and Debbie (John).
Ellen was a loving grandmother to her seven grandchildren: Derek (Karla), Laura, Danielle, Sam, Corey, Sara and step-grandson Gary (Cristy). She had three step-great grandchildren, Chase, Zoe, and Summer. Her large extended family brought her much joy in her later years.
Ellen's favorite hobbies included sewing, knitting, and creating crafts. She enjoyed playing the piano and could play popular melodies by ear. She loved listening to Western music and her favorite composer was Johann Strauss II. Her favorite music piece was "The Beautiful Blue Danube."
Ellen will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Ellen's funeral service will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Hayward, on May 30, 2025 at 9 AM.
