I met Elizabeth many years ago through my husband's friends/coworkers Jane & Larry. While I had only seen her a few times, I will always remember her very welcoming personality. She was a warm, sweet and loving woman. Heaven has gained an angel, for sure. My sincerest condolences to her family ❤️ May she rest in peace.
She could recall so many things with great detail and ease. Her accent was sweet and enjoyable. I'll forever call a burrito a burritah!
At my grandmother Opal's house she & their sister Maxine met my oldest child for the first time. The three sisters were always laughing and conversating, enjoying watching each other's families grow
I loved spending the night at her house when I was a little girl. It was a treat being around her & Uncle Emmett who were easy going & happy in each other's company.
She made everyone feel they had a their own special personal relationship with her.
I thought her pretty little pink house and white picket fence were straight out of a story book w/a weeping willow tree in the front & fruit trees in the back made it a wonderful place to visit for a kid...even more so as an adult.
I'm kissing my great aunt Lou at her granddaughter Jennifer's wedding on 7/15 which we all 3 shared in common. I admired hearing her tell how she managed the loss of her precious husband Emmett... one of my favorite uncles! How she went to work for the school district and taught children how to read. Can you imagine learning how to read with her by your side? Or anything for that matter! She was always encouraging and never failed to ask about your family and your day-to-day life.
