Elisa Sazon's Obituary
Elisa G. Sazon, 79, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 6, 2020 in her home, in Union City, California. She was born in Quezon City, Philippines on October 10, 1940 to Nicolas Gonzales and Emilia Fausto. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. She taught home economics for a brief period.
On January 25, 1969, she married the love of her life, Emmanuel Sazon, whom she had known since childhood. They recently passed their 51 years of marriage.
She devoted her life providing a wonderful home for the family, taking care of her husband, raising her four children, and babysitting the grandkids. Elisa enjoyed cooking, took pride in making her meals, and made sure her family is always very well-fed. She loved to laugh, joke around, take long showers, and had fun going to different Chinese buffets. She was headstrong, kind and generous. She was always so cheerful and enjoyed chatting.
Elisa is survived by her husband Emmanuel, her children Emeliza S. Peralta, Emmanuel Sazon Jr., Nick Sazon, Efa Fernandez, and her ten grandchildren. She is the matriarch of the Sazon family, and she will truly be missed. Those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her kindness are invited to the funeral services held at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward on February 13, 2020 at 10:00am – 12:15 p.m.
