In Loving Memory of Elisa Abellar Lopez, 1914 – 2015.Elisa was born in the Philippines on November 25th, 1914 to Theodulo Abellar and Paula Fermiza Abellar. She married and raised seven children, devoting herself to care of the family, the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren. Elisa spent the last 40 years of her long and healthy life as a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada and Fremont, California, and as a devout parishioner at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church.The Lopez family will remember their matriarch as a loving caretaker and a one-of-a-kind spirit. This remarkable 101-year old passed away on December 15th, 2015, after a life remarkably free of ill health. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20th at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral Home, in the Mission Chapel, at 32992 Mission Boulevard in Hayward, California. The family will receive guests from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, and Father Antony Vazhappily of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church will conduct the Rosary Service at 7:00pm.Funeral Mass will be held at St. James the Apostle Church, 34700 Fremont Boulevard in Fremont, California, at 10:00 am on Monday, December 21st. At the conclusion of the Mass, the funeral procession will escort Elisa to her final resting place in the Garden of Peace at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, where she will join the son and daughter in law who predeceased her.
