Elena Martinez de Murillo's Obituary
Elena Martinez de Murillo, better known as “Mama Nena” was called to Eternal Rest on Saturday, July 7th, 2018 in her home in Hayward California, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.“Mama Nena” was born in Zipaquio, Michoacán on August 18th, 1931. She married the love of her life Sebastian Murillo better known as “Papa Tan” on October 1st, 1947. In the mid 80’s the Murillo family immigrated to the United States bringing with them their children, as well as their beautiful traditions from Mexico. It was a given that who over came over to visit, would leave with a full tummy, thanks to Mama Nena’s delicious dishes.Mama Nena is survived by her children Ernesto Murillo (Antonia), Panta Herrera (Poncho), Javier Murillo (Bety), Sebastián Murillo (Delmi), Saúl Murillo (Amada), Miguel Murillo (Sandra), Martha Cárdenas (Antonio), Rafael Murillo (Margarita), Elena Macías (Antonio) and Carmen Murillo, as well as her 35 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.Mama Nena has now joined her husband Papa Tan, her beloved son Juan Murillo and great-granddaughter Melanie Marquez in heaven, along with all of her relatives that have proceeded her.We invite you to join us as we celebrate the life of our great and loving Mama Nena; who will always be treasured in our hearts.
