Eleanor Margaret Hayes' Obituary
Our mother, Eleanor Margaret (Arbini) Hayes, passed away peacefully at our home in Dublin, California on November 3rd. She was 100 years old. Elenor was born in Walla Walla, Washington to Mary and Carl Arbini. Her parents were farmers and grew Walla Walla sweet onions among other crops. She was an only child. She graduated high school at age 16 with straight A's. She married Milan Stewart at age 22 and was widowed 4 years later. She remarried in 1954 to Homer Hayes and moved to California in 1955. She worked for underground construction company as a secretary for 33 years. She loved to spend time with family, travel, play cards, doing puzzles, and going to Disneyland with her grandkids each year. She also enjoyed watching Golden Girls, and her favorite soap, The Young and Restless. She is preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband Milan Stewart, and her husband Homer of 42 years. She is survived by her daughter Shari Lee of Dublin, Son Robert Stewart of Arizona, Grandkids Christopher, Brian Lee, Stacey, Ryan, CJ, Nicole Stewart, and great grandchildren Sierra and Jayden Stewart and Jade Lee. Her celebration of life will Monday Jan 12th, 2026 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Walla Walla, Washington.
