Elaine Mary Huey Acevedo's Obituary
Elaine Mary Huey-Acevedo was carried by angels back home with her maker on September 22, 2015 in Fremont, CA. Ms. Elaine was born on November 27, 1948 in Oakland, CA to her parents Edgar Jr. and Lois Huey.She graduated from Mt. Eden high school in 1966; she then went to marry Frank Jimenez in 1967 and had their first daughter Dolonda Cecilia Jimenez, who was baptized by Dolores and Larry Jimenez. Then, in 1969 had their second daughter, Alondra Louis Jimenez, who was baptized by Diane and Homer Castille.Elaine was the best sister, niece, cousin, aunt and grandmother of 9, great grandmother of 8. She survived from the love of her husband, Henry, step daughter, Autumn, her Uncle Anthony and Aunt Silvia Gardere, unforgettable cousin Amado Pujol and best friend and Cousin Patty Pujol, and their daughter Michele, siblings Craig Lee, Nancy Maria, Daniel Joseph, and Tamiko Huey.Elaine had an awesome relationship with her two daughters. Dolonda who married John Alves blessed Elaine with their 4 children Dominique Shr’ee, Daryn Anthony-David, Nicholas Aaron and Alexis Renee. Her second daughter, Alondra, married James Patrick Burton who also blessed Elaine with their five children, Ashley Amanda, Andrea Alyse, Amber Rose, James Patrick Jr., and Alayna Shr’ee.Elaine was a successful saleswoman for over 30 years and retired in 2015. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends she also loved having the opportunity to spoil her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and two dogs Coach & Chanel. Elaine loved unwinding and having a good time which usually involved dancing, shopping, golfing , sewing, decorating her home and visiting the local casinos. In the last couple months of Elaine’s life she was fortunate enough to spend quality time with each and every family member and friend she held nearest and dearest to her heart. We as her family would like you to know she passed peacefully and would want us to celebrate her life and know she’s in a better place, and watching over us.The funeral service will be held at The Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA on September 29, 2015. The family viewing will be from 4:30 P.M and public viewing from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. The memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M.“God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to me.” A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.”
