"Pops" November 11, 1926 – February 20, 2025
Born in Oakland California
“One of a Kind”, Edward “Pops” Leon passed away on February 20th, 2025, in Fremont California.
He was a loving husband to his late, beautiful, wife, Mary Jane, for over 67 years. He is survived by his son Edward and daughter- in-law Kay and daughter Deborah and son-in-law Russell. He has four grandchildren: TJ, Aly, Alexandria and Shania. He has 3 great grandchildren: Mason, Jackson and Ezra. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pops led a long and full life and loved his family very much and would do anything for them.
He had many jobs throughout his life. He served in the Merchant Marines from 1944- 1946 and then worked as a sheet metal man until 1950 at Malsbury Manufacturing Company. In 1950 he joined the United States Army, where he served proudly for 2 years. He then worked for the US Postal Service as a Mailman for 11 years. After the Postal Service, Ed worked in the Parts Department for Lee Adams Pontiac and DiGuilio Pontiac for over 25 years.
He was a “Happy Go Lucky Guy” who wished the best for everyone he knew.
