Edward Eugene Hubbard's Obituary
EDWARD E. HUBBARDOctober 31, 1925 æ July 4, 2003 Ed was born in Portland, Oregon and has lived in the Sacramento area since 1930. He served in the Marines in the So. Pacific during WWII. Retired after 45 years in the Building & Trades as a tile setter, Ed remained active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 4647 (3300 U St. No. Highlands). Preceded in death by parents Nora M. Roberts and Francis E. Hubbard, a brother Francis Hubbard, and a son John (Gary) Rowland. Survived by brothers Jack and David also sisters Shirley Haines, Janet Hill, and Doris Hubbard, son Don Hubbard, daughters Rosa Umbach and Revonna (Gail) Roper, 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many loved nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome for visitation Wednesday, July 9, 2003, 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes 4701 Marysville Blvd. Sacto., CA 922-5833 and a graveside service 10:00 am Thursday, July 10, 2003 at Sunset Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the VFW.
