Edward Francis Hall, Sr. Edward F. Hall, Sr. ' Passed away on October 1, 2006 at the age of 81 years. Born on December 30, 1924 in the Castro Valley area. A decorated veteran of the U.S. Army-612th tank destroyer. His bravery earned him a purple heart with cluster good conduct medal, A European African middle eastern campaign medal, certificate of commendation 2nd ID & the Belgian Fourr-Gere. Many happy memories including horse owner, fishing and family dinners. Dearly beloved husband of the late Ann Hall (1990) and his late son Edward F. Hall, Jr. (1996). Devoted father of Debbie and Leroy Brunson of Oregon, Eva and Tony Zasimovich of Castro Valley, Willian and Barbara Hall III of Florence, Oregon and Winnie and Ken Wright of Castro Valley. His late brothers John, George and Bill Hall. Loving grandfather of Daniel, Thomas, Billy, Bobby, Angela, Jolene, Jennifer, Anthony, Andrew, Kellie, and Rachel. Loving great-grandfather of Jaina, Bobby and baby to be. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward. Procession to Graveside Service will follow with military honors at his request.
