Edward "Bob" Flores' Obituary
Edward 'Bob' Flores, born in Oakland, California on December 3, 1932, 4th generation Californian passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, California. He came to Hayward, California on July 4, 1941 and attended Burbank, Bret Heart and graduated in 1950 from Hayward High School. Bob married his high school sweetheart, Doreen and had two sons, Michael (who preceded him in death) and Bob, Jr. Bob was a long time resident of Castro Valley, California and has been a resident of Alameda County all of his life.Bob was a true entrepreneur of the first order at the age of 20 he owned the Texaco Gas Station on 'C' Street and Mission Boulevard in Hayward, California, from there he had an industrial laundry also in Hayward, California. He then built a cocktail lounge and restaurant out of an old firehouse in Walnut Creek, California. For the past 27 years he and his son, Bob have, operated Marble Man Enterprises.Bob is survived by his wife, Doreen, his son, Bob, brothers-in-law, Duane Norman of Pleasanton, California and Doyle Norman and his wife, Dru of San Ramon, California and many nieces and nephews and his life long friends Jim and Nadine Elledge of Concord, California.Family and Friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, February 4, 2003 from 5:30 p.m. ' 8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home.
