Edward T. Chao, 82, of Castro Valley, CA, passed away on Sunday December 2nd 2018.He was born in Nanking, China on September 22nd 1937 (1936).Edward graduated from National Taiwan University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also graduated from the University of Massachusetts and received a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.He was married to Linda Linshyan Chang on September 12th, 1964.Ed had a career as a Mechanical Engineer for Bechtel Corporation.He had a passion for travel and for life in general especially time spent with his family and friends.Ed will be forever remembered by his loving wife Linda, his daughters Catherine and Carol, his son in law Pete, and his grandchildren Tyler and Kylie as well as by his sisters Irene and Julie and his numerous extended family and dear friendsA celebration of Ed’s life will be held at 10:00AM on Sunday December 16th at Chapel of the Chimes Hayward, the Reflections chapel
