Edna Moon's Obituary
Edna Ethelyn Moon “Ethel” was born January 7, 1924 to Roy and Ernestine “Ella” Briggs in Milton-Freewater, Oregon. She had a Brother, Dale Briggs that preceded her in death.Working as a Telephone Operator at the Air Force Base in Pendleton, Oregon she met her husband Sgt. James Roy Moon “Jim” from Ca. They married January 26, 1945. They spent time on the Al-Can Highway (Alaska-Canada), New York & Montana where in 1946 their daughter Jaymee Rae Moon was born. They eventually moved to Walla Walla, Wa. where their daughter Merilee Jeanne Moon was born in 1952. They moved to Hayward, Ca. in 1954 where they raised their family in a loving home. Jim passed away March 30, 1973.Ethel worked in the cafeteria at Eden Gardens Elementary School in Hayward before spending the next 15 years at the cafeteria at General Motors in Fremont where she retired in 1975. She enjoyed traveling and went to 10 Countries and enjoyed making crafts for Craft Fairs.She was a very sweet person and had a good sense of humor. Her family was her life. She enjoyed baking and all things chocolate.She leaves behind her daughter Jaymee Wheeler (Gary Wheeler), her daughter Merilee Ah Lan (John Ah Lan), Four Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren, and Four Great Great Grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
