Dwayne Lazeric Sanders' Obituary
Dwayne Lazeric Sanders was born to Queen Ester in Kansas City, Kansas on April 11, 1942. He completed his education in Watsonville, where he completed and excelled in Track and Field. Afterwards, he entered and served in the United States Armed Forces where he received an honorable discharge, after being injured. He went on to work for the Oak Knoll Military Hospital until its closing and he retired. He accepted the Lord at an early age and in his later years he continued to serve and worship at Maranatha Christian Center in San Jose, under the leadership of Dr. Tony Williams. He married Frances Henderson in July of 1977. From that union were born two sons and he gained 3 step children. He later remarried on Jun 7, 1980 to Clementine Parker (the love of his life) and gained three step children. Dwayne was a hard working man, whether in church or at home he always gave it his all, never mind helping anyone upon retiring. He worked at New Beginning Convalescent Home cooking and cleaning and just doing whatever he could do to help the people there as a caregiver until he could no longer work and needed care for himself. He then got the best caregiver God could give him in Mr. Mike Johnson, his best friend until he went into Valley House Retirement Home, where he remained until he went home to be with the Lord. Dwayne leaves to cherish his memory: his wife; Clementine Sanders, his children; Lazeric S. Sanders, wife (Ashaki), Jason Sanders. Step children – John Williamis, LaShawn Taylor, Alandra Lyon, husband (Jareb), Shannon Star, LaDonna Newsome, Linda Newsome, Freeman (Pete) Newsome, wife (Ambutu), 22 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and a host of relative and friends.
