Dr. Joginder Singh Ahluwalia's Obituary
Dr. Joginder Singh Ahluwalia, a pioneering scientist, devoted scholar, and cherished family member, passed away peacefully on October 6th surrounded by his family. Born on September 28, 1925, in Wazirabad, Punjab (now Pakistan), Dr. Ahluwalia led a life marked by remarkable academic and professional achievements. After earning his M.Sc. in Technology and later, his Docteur Ingenieur (PhD of Engineering) from the University of Paris, he went on to make significant contributions to the petroleum industry as the founding Head of the R&D Centre at Indian Oil Corporation. His passion extended beyond science, as he dedicated his later years to the preservation and study of Sikh history and literature.
Dr. Ahluwalia is survived by his children, Ritu Khurana, Anant Ahluwalia, and Hemant Ahluwalia, as well as his sister Harbans Kaur and brother Devinder Pal Singh. His legacy of intellectual curiosity, cultural preservation, and love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.
