Douglas Reeves Kring's Obituary
Douglas Reeves Kring entered into rest on July 14, 2013, at the age of 77. Douglas was born February 11, 1936 in Oswego, New York. He grew up in Oswego and attended Oswego High School where he graduated in 1954.Douglas served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years and was awarded many medals including a Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam. After retiring from the Navy, Douglas was an employee of Fidelity Savings and then Citibank, he retired in 1999.Douglas was an avid golfer and model train enthusiast.On September 29, 1961, he married Sumiko and in 1963 their son Daniel was born. Douglas and Sumiko resided in Hayward for 41 years in the same house.Douglas is survived by and will be greatly missed by his wife, Sumiko; his son, Daniel; and his two grandchildren, Daniel and Maximillian, all of Hayward. He will be greatly missed by his many loving family members and friends as well.The funeral service for Douglas is Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 10 AM followed by the committal service at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, California.
