Douglas Max FranciscoTaking his first breath of Life on July 19, 1942 –Douglas Max Francisco became the youngest child of Maximiano + Francisca Francisco in the barangay of Wakas, Kawit, Cavite – Philippines. As the only son of his household, he was committed to strive for higher education to influence a brighter future for his Family namesake. After 2 years of college, he graduated from Far Eastern University located in Manila with a Bachelor of Science in Banking + Finance. Shortly, in 1963 he ventured alone to The United States, with his citizenship in-hand, through the strength + sacrifice of his Father, a WWII veteran within the Philippine Guerilla Scouts + US Navy.By 1964, Douglas became acquainted with his true love, Emily Hulleza in San Francisco. While at her family’s residence, she heard him playing “I’ll Be There” by Gerry + The Pacemakers on her father’s guitar. That moment produced a love affaire spanning over 5 decades strong – nurturing 2 sons, welcoming 2 daughters + culminating to 7 grand children.Douglas’ journey amongst us, was filled with many obstacles, of which he never succumbed to. The strength within his heart was as strong as the relationships that he forged. There was no limit to the selfless dedication that he provided to his wife + family, as he served over 35 years as a Computer Specialist for Pacific Bell. His accomplishments were never of earthly possessions but of; Family, Love, Respect, Music, Knowledge + Legacy. These are the gifts he enjoyed + have left us to cherish in his memory.“I’ll miss you and in my dreams I’ll kiss you.
