Dorothy was my insurance agent for about 20 years. She was a very personable individual and would always return the telephone call. I was excited that she finally decided to retire. I didn’t know that she became ill. She had a distinctive voice and will be remembered. I missed her expertise and personal touch as my agent. I pray for her family that God will provide his peace and the holy spirit will provide comfort during this time of loss and grief.
She truly did make you feel like part of her family. The way she embraced my mother and her well being fussing at her for putting too much salt on her food, from the outside looking in one would have thought that they had known each other for years instead of just a few days. Knew her to give selflessly of her time and resources. Gives me peace to know another Angel has joined my mother in heaven.
My Aunt Dorothy, you are surely missed by me and my family. From day one you accepted us as family and for over 30 years you have always been Aunt Dorothy(ya gotta say it with a Southern drawl) This may have been the final year I hear your voice, but your spirit will resonate forever more………
Dede (daughter) -sacrificial She demonstrated sacrificial giving when I was deathly ill by giving time, energy, and finances to bring me back to health. She modeled for me how to take care of her. Maya (granddaughter) -giving She always gave away what she had and never thought about herself. Camryn (grandson) -generous Giving all of herself. Level (son-in-law) -welcoming whenever you met her she made you feel apart of the family.
