Doris Marie Person's Obituary
Doris Marie Person died peacefully on January 11, 2024 at the age of 99 in Roseville California. She was born October 15, 1924 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Dewey and Lydia Goodman where she was raised in Dawson, North Dakota. She graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1946 as a dietician. She interned at Holy Names College in Oakland, California where she met Wallace Roland Person. They married on September 6, 1947 and began their live together in Berkeley, California. They were married for 65 years living in San Leandro predominantly until Wally’s death in 2013 and had three sons, Greg (Joan), Wesley (Wanda), and Verne (Dawnette).
Doris enjoyed cooking, baking, playing bridge, traveling but especially spending time hosting her family. She was an avid Oakland A’s fan. Wally and her traveling throughout the world after his retirement.
Doris is predeceased by her parents Dewey and Lydia, and her two brothers, Eugene and Charles. She is survived by her three sons, grandchildren Tiffany Person, Jennifer Sanders, Kara Person, Kelly Loseth, Jillian Vu, Nolan Person, Tami Patrikios, Teri Sosebee, Jerry Bowers, Brett Siegalkoff and Lacy Lahman. Doris has numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
