Online Obituary Donato Molina Barrera passed away from natural causes on October 11,2014 at age 85 in his home in Oakland, CA. Donato was a native of Michoacan, México, where he married his wife of over 60 years, Maria Nieves. Donato was a family man who loved to talk politics and believed strongly in education. During his youth, he helped to build a rural community in the Mexican state of Tabasco, where a school and avenue bear his name. He was instrumental in getting medications for the sick and land for the farmers. He later immigrated to the United States where he worked in the fields, forestry, and as a handyman. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
