Donald Wade's Obituary
DONALD FRANCIS WADE Died peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2006, in his San Leandro home, surrounded by his loving family. Donald, the son of Joe & Alice Wade, was born March 20, 1924 in Florida and moved to Alabama, where he spent his childhood playing the guitar at the Warrior Baptist Church. He joined the US Navy at the age of 17 and served our country in WWII and in Korea, ending a 22 year naval career as Chief Boatswains Mate. While stationed in Oxnard, CA, he met Lois, the love of his life. They were happily married for 52 years. Donald was preceded in death by his son Mark; and leaves behind daughters, Linda Shore (Mike), Debra LaFlamme (Matt), Joyce Wade Keeth (Rich) and Gale Castro (Ralph); 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. In 1982 he proudly served as Master of Chateau Thierry Masonic Lodge No. 569 in Castro Valley. Masonic and Military Services are to be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA, with visitation on Tuesday (TODAY) from 4:30 ' 8:30 p.m. Chapel of the Chimes(510) 471-3363www.chapelofthechimes.com
