Donald Sather's Obituary
Donald Michael Sather, age 86 of Angels Camp, CA passed away peacefully on November 27, 2018 at approximately 5:10 PM in Stockton, CA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great, grandfather. He was born in Portland, OR. on April 6, 1932 to Harold and Wanda (Kolkowski) Sather.Donald joined the Airforce after high school and received an Honorable Discharge. He was hired as an airline mechanic at United Airlines in San Francisco, CA, married his loving wife Maxine on June 23, 1956 and spent 46 years as a loving and devoted husband. They made their family home in Hayward, CA where he lived for nearly 60 years. Donald retired after 37 years and enjoyed traveling, maintaining and flying his small engine airplane.Donald is preceded by his beloved wife, Maxine (Reeve) Sather, his parents, and sister Joanne Christine (Sather) Kieffer. He is survived by his five children, Jeffrey (Sandra) Sather, Michelle (Matt) Myers, Valerie (Terry) Lewis, Victoria (Mark) Vance and Evan (Theresa) Sather and grandchildren, Joshua (Jayne) Lewis,Christopher Lewis, Michael (Jaime Wiltz) Wood, Jennifer Wood, Bryan Sather, Timothy Sather and ,3 step grandchildren, Grace Anne Church, Antoniette Gular and Theya Gular. His Great grandchildren, Jayden, Jordan and Maxine Lewis. Also, his sister, Jeanette (Sather) Baker, many nephews, nieces, and their children and grandchildren.Services will be held on Saturday the 15th, at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544, 10 am.Donald, Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, we will miss you and love you always and carry your memory in our hearts.
