Donald Edward Kugler's Obituary
Don passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at Eden Medical Center, on Wednesday, May 11 at the age of 79. He was happily married to his wife Adrienne for 59 years. Don had one daughter, Cindy, and two grandchildren — Brandon and Amanda. He enjoyed taking his Austin Healey to “Elio’s” in San Leandro to visit with his car buddies twice a month. He also looked forward to the last Monday of every month where he would go to listen to the sounds of the “Big Band” in Alameda. He made sure to sit in the same spot every time, so that he had the best view. He also enjoyed driving up to South Lake Tahoe to his home where he enjoyed being in the mountain air playing solitaire on their backyard deck. He did not allow his age to disrupt his fun on family vacations either. When the family went to Disneyland he would be there with his wife in their electric scooters driving around the park people watching. His favorite ride was Radiator Springs and he enjoyed a good fried chicken dinner at the Plaza Inn on Main St.. He enjoyed the simple things in life and a good burger was at the top of that list.He was a man of few words, but we never doubted his love for us. He will be missed very much by his loving family and many friends. Services will be held on Saturday, May 21 at 1:00pm at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.
