Donald Dean Freeman February 26, 1936 – September 6, 2013Long-time San Leandro resident Donald Dean Freeman died peacefully with his wife and daughter at his side on September 6, 2013. He was 77 years old. Don was born on February 26, 1936 in Lead, South Dakota to Roy and Elsie Freeman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, music, and was an avid Oakland A’s fan. Don was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Pete and Bill Freeman, and sister Beulah (Bea) Kenner. Survived by his loving and devoted wife, Audrey Freeman; children Annette and Jim Lintner, Phil Freeman, and Robin Hadley. He was the proud Papa to grandsons Chad, Jason, Anthony, and Jake. Don is also survived by many family and friends including brother Bud Freeman, niece Barbara Griffin, and loving family friend Patricia Albrecht. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Don will be interred at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward, California. At his request, no services will be held.
